Karen Schremmer is a mixed-media artist based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her work is known for its richly layered, interactive qualities that blend traditional and digital techniques, including hand painting, digital painting, collage, photography, and rhinestones. Reflective materials such as mirrors and resin often appear in her pieces, creating dynamic experiences that explore identity, transformation, and light.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of South Florida. Deeply inspired by Florida’s vivid energy and the emotional textures of daily life, she draws on color, material, and pop culture symbolism to create work that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
